Sarah HYNDMAN
Sarah Hyndman is a British graphic designer, writer and public speaker. She asks lots of questions, has become an accidental specialist in multi-sensory typography and known for her interest in the psychology of type. She is the founder of the innovative Type Tasting studio; driven by her passion for changing the way we think and talk about typography. Sarah is also known for her thought-provoking and highly entertaining typography workshops, events and books including Why Fonts Matter and the type dating card game What's Your Type?

Laura MESEGUER
Laura Meseguer is a freelance graphic and type designer from Barcelona. Her studio works for international and domestic clients but also in self-initiated projects. As a typographer and type designer, she is specialized in all sorts of projects involving custom lettering and type design, for branding and publishing design. Her design approach is to create unique solutions for every assignment, based on the concept, the content and the context, always in close collaboration with art directors and designers. She designs and produces typefaces which are distributed through her own digital type foundry Type-Ø-Tones, that is also a member of TypeNetwork. She is the author of TypoMag. Typography in Magazines, published by IndexBook, and co-author of the book “Cómo crear tipografías. Del boceto a la pantalla”, published by Tipo e, published in Spanish and translated into Polish, Portuguese, English and soon in Chinese. She is a board member of the ATypI since 2017. She also teaches typedesign and typography in different schools. Laura’s work has been featured in several publications and exhibitions such as the Graphic Design–Now in Production in 2011-2012. She also holds awards from the ADG-FAD (The Art Directors & Graphic Designers Association, Spain), and TDCs for her typefaces Rumba Lalola and Qandus.

Louise FILI
Louise Fili is director of Louise Fili Ltd, a New York-based design studio specializing in branding for food packaging and restaurants, as well as type design. Fili was art director of Pantheon Books for eleven years, where she designed close to 2000 book jackets. She is a member of the Art Directors Hall of Fame, and received the medal of lifetime achievement from the AIGA and the Type Directors Club.
Fili is the author of Elegantissima, Grafica della Strada, Graphique de la Rue and Grafica de les Rambles. She also co-authored and designed Italianissimo and The Cognoscenti's Guide to Florence. With her husband, the design historian Steven Heller, she is co-author of Italian Art Deco, British Modern, Dutch Moderne, Streamline, French Modern, Deco España, German Modern, Deco Type, Design Connoisseur, Counter Culture, Typology, Stylepedia, Euro Deco, Scripts, Shadow Type, Stencil Type, and Slab Serif Type. She has also designed Perfetto, Tutti Frutti, and Brillante pencils.

Lila SYMONS
Lila Symons is a multidisciplinary typeface designer and lettering artist who specializes in the design and engineering of fonts for consumer goods and lifestyle brands. She works as a font developer for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Missouri where she creates proprietary typefaces based on handwriting, calligraphy, and lettering.
Prior to joining Hallmark Cards in 2013, she spent 7 years working in New York City and New Jersey as a graphic designer and lettering artist. Past clients include Princeton University, L’Oréal, Tattly, Coach, Condé Nast Digital, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
She has a BFA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, and is a graduate of Type@Cooper Extended in New York City.

Astrid STAVRO
Pentagram partner Astrid Stavro is a graphic designer with an international reputation for concept driven design, distilling complex ideas into uniquely simple and emotionally engaging solutions. Before joining Pentagram in 2018 she directed her own studio in Barcelona for ten years. In 2013 she co-founded the brand and design consultancy Atlas with Pablo Martín. While at Atlas, Stavro led the celebrated redesign of the London-based arts and culture magazine Elephant, where she was Art Director and Contributing Editor from 2013–2017. Other projects include the identity for the Barcelona Design Museum and the menswear clothing label Jijibaba for Jasper Morrison and Jaime Hayon.
Her work encompasses brand identities, editorial and exhibition design, wayfinding systems and packaging for clients such as Phaidon, Camper, Laurence King, The National Portrait Gallery, Reina Sofía Museum, Wallpaper* and Cahiers du Cinéma. Stavro’s work has received over 150 international awards. Her work has been widely published and exhibited and Stavro has chaired and judged numerous international design competitions. She has written articles for top international design journals and is frequently asked to speak at conferences across the globe. Stavro has taught at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and is currently a Visiting Lecturer at the Royal College of Art. She was elected a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale in 2010. Stavro was born in Trieste, Italy and studied graphic design at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design (BA) and the Royal College of Art (MA).

Ulrike RAUSCH
'Berlin-based type designer Ulrike Rausch founded her own type foundry called LiebeFonts, providing high-quality typefaces and hand-crafted letterings with a charming personality and obsessive attention to detail. Her growing portfolio of quality fonts has been used in publications, advertisements, and websites all around the world. She also creates custom typefaces and letterings for clients.
Last year she teamed up with letterer and writer Chris Campe and wrote the book “Making Fonts!”, a comprehensive guide to type design & font production.'

Monica DENGO
Monica Dengo was born in Italy in 1966. In 1993 she moved to San Francisco (California) and in 2001 she acquired dual citizenship, Italian and American. Currently she lives in Arezzo, Italy. Monica began the study of graphic design in Venice, Italy and England. In London she studied calligraphy and bookbinding at the Roehampton Institute (1991-1992) with Gaynor Goffe and Ewan Clayton. In 1993 she moved to San Francisco (California) and spent three years studying independently full time manuscript production techniques, illumination, design and history of lettering with Thomas Ingmire. She also studied figure drawing with Eleanor Dickinson. The San Franscisco Art Instiute Library, the Correr Museum and Marciana libraries in Venice (Italy) were also a part in her independent studies. In 2012 she was artist-in-residence for two month at the Emily Harvey Foundation in Venice. She has collaborated with Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano. She is teaching calligraphy at Centro Internazionale Arti Calligrafiche - www.articalligrafiche.it and; in the past she also taught also at Academy of Art University - San Francisco, California - www.academyart.edu, Libera Università di Bolzano, ISIA in Faenza, Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.

Sandro BERRA
Sandro Berra, after Classics studies, started as editor and designer of Italian literary magazines. In 2001 he joined the staff of Tipoteca Italiana, a private museum devoted to letterpress printing in the small town of Cornuda in the Veneto region of Italy, and today he is the general coordinator of the museum. He edited A story of character: ten years of Tipoteca Italiana (2006) and is co-editor of the journal Tipoitalia.
